Elevated continues to expand our expertise as erector for three mass timber structures on this Sunnyvale campus. The team performed installation of all siding, as part of our architectural carpentry scope, and was an essential part of the design-build team from very early on, playing a key role in early timber receipt, storage, and timely erection on these three large-scale, complex mass timber buildings. Honoring the client’s environmental stewardship goal, the project was designed and built to LEED Platinum certification standards.
Office BuildingTo meet the California Building Code height limit of 85 feet, the design-build team used a composite system with flat beams affixed to a concrete topping slab using HBV connections. The team used 40-foot spans of 12-inch-deep beams to achieve a high ceiling that complied with building code floor-to-floor height restrictions while also accommodating a raised access floor for MEP systems.
Events SpaceThe events space features CLT shear walls and a reciprocally framed roof that spans 70 feet without additional column support.
Fitness CenterThe fitness center has a hybrid mass timber and steel structure, has timber roof cantilevers on three sides, and is supported by two-story glulam columns.
Scott is a seasoned cost management and industry expert, and leader of the preconstruction team. He is responsible for the department, project procurement, and business development efforts including contract negotiations and client satisfaction.
Bobby is responsible for managing all rough carpentry and mass timber projects. He oversees field operations, including scheduling and coordination of manpower, and tracks and reports production results. He has 28 years of trade and carpentry experience.
TJ works with Elevated’s preconstruction experts through the bidding process and strategizes with project managers to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Additionally, he works with Elevated’s president on business planning to set and execute company goals and initiatives. TJ has 19 years of experience in the construction industry.
Lon has 40 years of expertise in coordinating and managing successful teams of various sizes and complexities. He oversees client relationships and all field operations, so projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within schedule and budget requirements.
As President, Neil is responsible for strategic oversight and implementation of the company’s vision plan to achieve organizational success. He provides guidance to senior leaders regarding management of their teams and resources to achieve project success and high client satisfaction. Neil has more than 24 years of experience in the construction industry.
